— There is evidently a very limited suppression of Iranian missile bases currently. Iran is launching very freely, comfortably, and at a leisurely pace. Why? Most importantly because Israel is not involved. Iran is huge, it’s impossible for the U.S. to suppress western and southern Iran simultaneously 24/7. Previously, Israel took care of the western areas in Iran. Secondly, Iran is launching so many missiles and drones at U.S. bases that they themselves are being suppressed. Muwaffaq Salti, Al-Udeid, Ali Al-Salem, these types of primary forward bases have been rendered pretty much useless at this stage of the war. The U.S. is now extremely reliant on its carrier fleet in the Arabian Sea. Lastly, in many cases, U.S. aviation is being forced to carry out secondary duties like defending UAE / Bahraini / Saudi airspace from drone attacks, due to critically low interceptor stockpiles. This limits their availability for combat missions.

China responded to Washington’s proposal to impose tariffs of up to 100% on buyers of Russian energy, including China: Beijing will take all necessary measures against illegal unilateral sanctions with no basis in international law and no UNSC authorization. Translation: Don’t forget who lost the trade wars. The more Washington weaponizes tariffs, the fewer weapons it has left. China’s trade dependence on the U.S. has already fallen to a historic low. Chinese exports are moving to ASEAN, Europe, Latin America, and the rest of the world. So another 100% tariff threat is not strength. It is Washington confessing that its old leverage is shrinking. Tariffs were supposed to force China to kneel. Instead, they forced China to diversify. Now Washington is swinging a weapon that gets smaller every time it uses it. At some point, sanctions stop being power. They become muscle memory from a declining empire.
