I don’t understand why people are so bullish on #AI (or AGI) as a solution to so much. They seem to think it’s actually thinking and actually logical or reasonable. It’s just spitting out probabilities from what it’s been trained on. I’m not sure if this currently model is going to produce the qualities of they’re hoping it will, even if it does become general and autonomous. It’s likely going to be biased. I like AI as a focused tool in limited capacity.

I had time with my little son this morning while wife was out. Decided to walk the dogs, with my son on his trike. Usually I’d listen to my endless queue of bitcoin podcasts on @Fountain. But the weather was so great, I soon stopped to just listen, breathe and look around while passing by a little rice paddy nearby. I realized that this kind of time is so precious. I started thanking God for everything and just dwelling on His magnificence. The thought process led me to His character and the Fruits of the Spirit. And how far my heart and state of spirit has been from all the qualities. I can recite them, but I don’t exhibit them. I’ve been so busy that I’ve lost the peace I used to have. With it the gentleness and thoughtfulness and even self control. I knew I needed to change my behaviors recently for this year. But this reminded me that you can’t just grow fruit with your will. Your tree needs to change and needs to be re-rooted. My roots weren’t where they used to be as I’d been caught up in fiat style stressing and rushing. Time with #God is essential. #Jesus came to show us how we can be when we live in step with His #Spirit He puts inside of us. We need to practice His Presence and know Him more. His peace allows you to be thoughtfully responsive rather than reactive to things and people in life. I’ve definitely been missing that. It’s really easy to slip back into bad, though natural, behaviors. What a great morning! #morningBrainDump #christianity
