Today, I find myself sad about the state of affairs when it comes to this recent schism in the social network community of Bitcoin.
The amount of name-calling, the entirely fallacious arguments, the disrespect and shit-slinging.
We've learned about the character of many people who "lead" in our community. And I think most of us who've witnessed this have been surprised by some of what we have seen.
Much of it is good information though. I do business with people in the Bitcoin community and it makes it easy for me to see who I will do business with and who I will not.

@ODELL posts something here that makes me think it can be used both ways. For example, I would never stop doing business with one of the companies he supports because I've never heard him call me a #retard" or the like. Even he who has very pointed and fully expressed opinions, but as an adult...
Thing is, Bitcoin doesn't give a flying flip about what's happened over the last six months. In the majority of people out there in the world don't even know it is happening, including most of the Bitcoiners.
And "the community" has always been a bit overblown, in my opinion.
But I learned, I learned about what I value, and I learned about people that I have respected.
Some have lost that respect. Others have bolstered that respect.
You live and you learn.
