what are the best #NIP-17 compatible relays to host ourselves right now? Including deletion support.
I'd be happy to host one for public use too, but not sure which is the most advanced for DM capabilities.

โก I run the superfriends relay at wss://nostr.superfriends.online | ๐ง
tor: ws://sprfrnsx2nhyc6mkkb4hi2hauq7kd3ckudkj3v7djbw4wopqfcotw4id.onion
๐ค Here for the decentralisation, not for the maximalism.
I was asked to test @Geektoshi's new #nostr web client under development, naturally I couldn't resist! :catJAM:
One thing that stands out to me, is that it definitely feels "different". I think it's because he built his own rendering engine for nostr events from what I've read. I like how super-clean it is!
Lots of work to be done, but I think it's already an awesome start to what could be a great web client!
Feedback so far:
- It's great to see that any event kinds can be shown, but I think each kind will need specific formatting to make it contextually relevant in the feed.
- If I click Follows or Global, the kinds tabs go back to the default setting of "All": I'd like that to persist, so if I'm on "Streams", it stays there.
- Would love a way to specify a relay, like Follows | Global | Relay
- Love the filtering by kinds as tabs!

I think @AQSTR and @zapwork are highly interesting... I tested aqstr today, and the tasks were indeed almost instantly detected as done, and immediately paid out. I have to admit that is very cool!
I think there's value in things like this, but I also wonder about the validating effort beyond what can be automatically gauged.
For example, asking people to like, reply, repost or quote... these are fine and good. But I'd consider these "micro tasks". What about more high value things, like:
- Submitting a PR to a git repo.
- Uploading a picture of you doing something.
- Writing a more in-depth post about a topic.
Part of me feels like an element of manual validation may be required for higher value tasks.
As for @zapwork, I think this is also a highly interesting take in terms of online recruitment for jobs. There's nothing much posted there yet, but from the application process, it feels like it could be a good match for some jobs such as copywriting, or ad-hoc stuff.
Particularly where reputation/trust metrics can be used.
Interesting space that's developing! Really neat to see it on #nostr!
basically, kinda yeah. ๐น

I work at an AI platform (none of these), and I couldn't agree more with this take.
Our platform focuses on anti-censorship, part of that includes hosting our own hardware in datacentres so that these big boys cannot censor our users, or extract their prompts/other metadata. Our team is tiny compared with these giants, as is our userbase. But we believe there is space outside of these monopolies for AI to thrive in more niche ways, but of course these companies have no interest in broadcasting this potential to the public.
IMHO AI is a powerful tool, but like any information-heavy tool, large companies are seeking to extract all our information to use it to their advantage, not for yours. It happened with your banks/spending. It happened with web searches. It's now happening with AI.

Hey @0xchat, seems that in Outbox Relays, it pre-populates a default list of relays that's quite large, and if you edit this list, it wipes out my published relays list.
Is there a reason why it's not syncing from my published relays list and using a massive list of public relays instead? I can't edit this list in the app as it'll wipe out my published relays.
Otherwise the app is looking great, thanks!
Hey @verbiricha, I'm seeing some minor visual bugs in the `man` pages for #grimoire. Check the options and descriptions columns, they seem to overlap each other where the options are too lengthy.

Nostr Compass #1 is out! It's a new weekly publication covering NIP proposals, client and relay news, and more! This is a fantastic way to stay abreast of all things #nostr!
Amazing job, folks! ๐ป

The OpenCode open source #AI coding agent has just released beta desktop versions!
I use OpenCode a lot, together with z.ai's GLM model to help me code things to spec quickly and efficiently. I don't rely on it/do vibe coding, but with proper controls and specifications, it can save me a lot of time and manual coding effort.

PearPass, a P2P password manager! Now this looks highly interesting! Might have to migrate my vaults. The fact that it's audited is a huge plus, however there's something to relying on battle-tested password managers.
(Not that it did LastPass users any good, unfortunately!)
