Already in Chișinău, Moldova. Did a 5km tapering run - this is a great city to run with its wide walkways and parallel streets. Saw the stage being built for the Half Marathon.
With this visit, Malta is now the only European country left on my "not visited" list!
Today, while studying Bayes' Theorem, I came across a truly intriguing case - Monty Hall problem.
Imagine you’re on a game show. There are three closed doors: behind one is a prize, and behind the others nothing. You pick Door #1. The host, who knows what’s behind the doors, opens Door #3 to reveal it's empty and asks: "Do you want to stick with your choice or switch?"
It took me half a day to wrap my head around why switching gives you a 66.6% chance of winning, while staying only gives you 33.3%. I even wrote a program to simulate it and prove by example that this is the case.
It’s a perfect example of why it is important to think :)
