Bitcoin Core vs Bitcoin Knots is a debate as old as time. Bitcoin Core is mom saying she’ll keep your money safe but then uses it to buy Gucci Bags vs Bitcoin knots who is the cool dad that says he’ll filter out the spam for you but shows up drunk instead. Bitcoin core is the democrats who say we need to let people live and let live but then the country gets flooded with 50 million Muslims vs Knots who say we need to close the border, and instead builds a control grid, & targets minorities. Bitcoin core is the ID that says spam will happen anyways vs Bitcoin Knots is The Superego saying we must stop spam by any means necessary. But Monero is The Libertarian Ego Child that says spam is a serious issue, & we stopped it without censorship, while keeping the money in tact. Running a Monero Node is a protest against Bitcoin Core.

There was an article, I forget what it was but essentially Bitcoin core controls some proposal board, or newsletter thingy that actually allows things to get merged into Bitcoin, not the GitHub which they control too but it’s some other thing. If anyone knows what I’m talking about please remind me of it. But basically like it’s super impossible for Bitcoin core to actually be changed because core has a lot of power over the whole process. #AskNostr

There’s a particularly strong type of delusional world that Knots BIP 110 HODLers live in. They want Bitcoin to be money while also not spending it. They’re worried about what’s on the blockchain but they also don’t want to incentivize miners by transacting on the blockchain. So they want empty to small blocks with little to no miners hashing the actual transactions to be sent to the nodes to verify. While I agree that Bitcoin core has some moral dilemmas they need to address, Bitcoin core is more correct in their technical argument, Bitcoin is a Permission-less Censorship-Resistant P2P Digital CASH system. The knots people want to control how you use Bitcoin. Using Bitcoin to pay a legal OF model, can’t have that because “you’re spamming the Blockchain”. Using Bitcoin to buy weed, can’t have that because “You’re spamming the blockchain”. Rinse, and repeat. Guns, Homosexuality, Abortion, etc.

Yes, Bitcoin core is funded by Pedos but their argument is correct.
