TIL that over a quarter of UK government debt is in the form of inflation index-linked gilts ("linkers"). This means that the UK gov can't use the strategy of inflating away the debt since that amplifies the debt burden.
So I guess actual bankruptcy and default are on the cards.

People criticize @DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 and Coinkite for the wrong things. The biggest issue is that when you have to buy from the UK they throw you to the wolves of FedEx who always hold up the shipment but are unreachable, and if you do resolve it you have to give so many personal details you may as well just use Coinbase.
