This is out of the ordinary of the usual content but I believe it is important to write down these thoughts. Milo, aka the best dog in the world isn’t going to be with us much longer. It has been a very somber and emotional few weeks, and it won't be any easier when she is no longer with us. It’s almost unimaginable that she won’t be around to go on walks, watch sports with me, play fetch, and chase tennis balls in the pool anymore. Time is the only thing that will heal the void Milo will leave us, but there are things I take comfort in. She was adopted by the sweetest, most caring person in my soon-to-be wife. She had the best life filled with adventures, treats and toys and made us and so many other people happy. I regret not spending more time with my last dog, but I made up for it with all the time spent with Milo. I think Milo knows she is loved, and she gives us nothing but love back. Dogs are unique from other animals in that regard; they generally want to please and get along with their family and never mope or pout unless they're doing something uncomfortable, like getting a bath or medicine. Humans have found all kinds of different animals to keep as pets for their enjoyment and entertainment, but there is nothing quite like the bond with a dog. They truly are symbiotic with humans. Humans and dogs are better together. I think God wanted us to have a reminder to be positive and give love, like dogs always seem to do. I will miss Milo and all the fun things we did together. If dogs go to heaven, I can’t wait to bring my baseball bat to the park and smash a few tennis balls for her to chase.
