Flower of the day: Matsumoto asters, cheerful and long lasting cut flowers, the birth flower for the month of September, and symbolizing devotion, patience, and elegance if you’re into that sort of thing #flowers #nostr
A nice shot of our Japanese anemones in the vase. They are beautiful but have a short vase life unfortunately, so we may end up scrapping this project. Mistakes are the best teachers #flowers #nostr
Flower of the day: wreaths we made using hydrangea flowers. Certain hydrangeas typically will dry well and hold their color so this beauty can last for years in the home #flowers #nostr #fixthemoneyfixtheworld
While visiting Italy/France, I’ve heard from many natives and announcements at the airport to not leave bags or important items unattended. These are third world countries, no civilized society would tolerate this behavior as something to just deal with. Europe seems to have lowered its standards, America too. That doesn’t take away from the historical and geographical beauty of these places, unreal to behold. But pretending that petty theft is a part of life to be accepted is ridiculous and a sign of a decaying society
@Marty Bent just a thought, can you get Dave Smith on TFTC? I feel like we need to bridge the gap between the libertarian world and bitcoin since their ethos are so aligned. Would love to hear that conversation
Florence, the birthplace of the modern world. I’ve read some about how the Florin gold coin was standardized for centuries here and sound money played a role in the Renaissance. I can’t help but think that’s what’s in the works now that bitcoin exists. Maybe humans will create beauty like this again. The future looks bright
Not only to the socialists, but to all types of authoritarians the family unit has always been the enemy. Along with religion, the bond between families is something governments throughout history will always try to break to make every person’s ultimate loyalty to the State. Nuclear families, good morals, allegiance to God, and free market money like #bitcoin are antithetical to tyranny
