TUNES FOR THE POST APOCALYPSE
On this day in 1967, the Cream LP “Disraeli Gears” debuted on the UK Albums Chart at #33 (November 18)
According to engineer Tom Dowd, the recording sessions at Atlantic Studios in New York took only three-and-a-half days, and the band's visas expired on the very last day of recording.
Writing for the BBC, Chris Jones nailed it by describing the album as "a perfect encapsulation of the point where the blues got psychedelic and in turn got heavy".
Brilliant drummer Ginger Baker recalled how the album got its name:
“You know how the title came about – Disraeli Gears – yeah?
We had this Austin Westminster [car], and Mick Turner was one of the roadies who'd been with me a long time, and he was driving along and Eric [Clapton] was talking about getting a racing bicycle.
Mick, driving, went 'Oh yeah – Disraeli gears!' meaning derailleur gears ... We all just fell over ... We said that's got to be the album title.”
The album features the singles "Strange Brew" and "Sunshine of Your Love", and went all the way to #1 in Australia, Sweden and Finland, #2 in France, #4 in the US and New Zealand, #5 in the UK, and #10 in Canada.
In 1999, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
In 2020 the album was ranked #170 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
The classic psychedelic cover art was created by Australian artist Martin Sharp who lived in the same building as Clapton, The Pheasantry in Chelsea.
Sharp would go on to create the artwork to Cream's next album “Wheels of Fire” and co-wrote the songs "Tales of Brave Ulysses" and The Savage Seven movie theme "Anyone for Tennis" with Clapton.

You’ll Wish You Bought More…
Nobody says it in real-time.
They say it after.
After the price jumps.
After the supply dries up.
After the exit window slams shut.
“I should’ve bought more.”
“I thought I had time.”
“I didn’t think 0.01 BTC would matter.”
But by the time they say it?
The leverage is gone.
The price is out of reach.
And the opportunity? History.
See, most people don’t miss Bitcoin because they didn’t know.
They miss it because it still felt skippable.
Too early.
Too small.
Too “not worth it.”
Until 1 million sats isn’t $1,000 anymore…
It’s $5,000.
Then $50,000.
Then… legacy.
And by then?
It’s obvious.
But obvious = expensive.
Obvious = locked up.
Obvious = late.
Right now, 0.01 BTC still feels boring.
But that’s exactly when it matters most.
Because the earlier you act, the more the system rewards you.
Not with hype.
Not with headlines.
But with quiet, irreversible exit.
You get optionality while everyone else is still outsourcing their future.
You get sovereignty while they’re still gambling for gains.
You get peace while they panic.
And the only catch?
You had to act before it felt necessary.
That’s the price of leverage.
So if you’re still wondering whether 0.01 BTC is enough?
Here’s a better question:
Will you look back and wish you bought more?
Or will you be the one who stacked early…
…and never had to ask that again?
Stay early, stacks sats.

Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
He called Alice
When she was just small
When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

Cortez the Killer
Song by Crazy Horse and Neil Young ‧ 1975
He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
And the palace in the sun
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his coca leaves and pearls
In his halls, he often wandered
With the secrets of the world
And his subjects gathered 'round him
Like the leaves around a tree
In their clothes of many colors
For the angry gods to see
And the women all were beautiful
And the men stood straight and strong
They offered life in sacrifice
So that others could go on
Hate was just a legend
And war was never known
The people worked together
And they lifted many stones
And they carried them to the flat lands
But they died along the way
And they build up with their bare hands
What we still can't do today
And I know she's living there
And she loves me to this day
I still can't remember when
Or how I lost my way

Gravensteen castle.
Gravensteen castle in Ghent, East Flanders, Belgium. The current moat and bailey castle dates from the 12th century and used to be the residence of the Counts of Flanders until 1353.
It is believed that the castle may have been inspired by crusader castles testified by Philip of Alsace during the Second Crusade.
The castle has a large keep in the middle of the compound. It also has the main residence and auxiliary buildings protected by a fortified, oval-shaped enceinte lined with 24 small bartizans or wall-mounted turret projecting from the walls.
The moat gets water from river Lys. Once the castle was abandoned by the counts, it served many purposes – it was used as a court, a prison, a mint, and even housed a cotton factory.

The 1954 Satecmo Eolia.
DESCRIPTION:
André George Claude was the son of the famous French Chemist and Physicist, George Claude.
André was also an impressive engineer, who, because he could not find a race car he liked, decided to devote his time to designing and building an entirely French racing car. He was already a keen racing driver having competed in the Tour de France, Alpine Rally and the Mont Ventoux Hillclimb. André had also raced a Satecmo modified 4CV in the 1951 Le Mans 24 Hours.
His company, Satecmo, were to build it using a Renault engine since they were already supplying tuning equipment for the 4CV. By 1954 the car was ready to run but it was not actually registered until October 1958 with the number 860 HK 75. He gave it the name Eolia, after Eolias, the God of the winds in classical mythology. The plan was to enter the car into The Le Mans 24 Hours.
It was remarkably fast and was capable of 104mph, with acceleration to match. Claude was not afraid of innovation so he mounted the original 850cc engine from the Renault 4CV centrally in the back of the car. This in turn was mated to a five speed "reverse gate' gearbox of his own design.
In 1960, the Renault 4CV engine was superseded by the engine out of the Renault Dauphine Gordini. The engine in André's "Eolia' was then tuned by Renault experts Mignotet who later went on to tune and build engines for the Renault Alpine. The result was a power increase to around 69hp. The Berlinetta style body was designed by Eiffel and was made out of magnesium.
Once again Claude's expertise came into play and after extensive wind tunnel tests at Eiffel the magnesium body was argon welded. Claude also firmly believed that the only place for a steering wheel was on the right hand side. Handling was at a premium and with the 90 litre tank placed up front the balance was excellent, as was the visibility.
The car and its innovative design were later offered to Renault and Claude even had dreams of selling it in America, but none of these plans came to fruition accounting for why there was only ever one example of this technically intriguing and highly innovative car. Sadly, Claude's other dream, to race his car at Le Mans, never materialised either.
The car was sold in 1967 to a young engineer and it lived in South West France until the current owner bought the car in 2006 as the believed second owner. There are just 15,000kms on the clock. The coachwork is described as new, as is the electrical equipment and transmission which is the Claude 5-speed box of the original design.
The car is road legal with French registration and is surprisingly rapid, as might be expected with a tuned engine and lightweight body. The blue paintwork is described as good and the patinated interior trim is blue leather.
If you are looking to acquire a unique car that boasts some highly advanced design ideas and that, with some research, could be eligible and competitive in a variety of UK and European race series', then this is a special car not to be missed...

The rock legends teamed up for the Rock Aid Armenia charity in ‘89 to re-record the Deep Purple staple “Smoke on the Water”. The recording features fiery verses from Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan, Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson and Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, with Bryan Adams providing backing vocals.
The guitar lineup was just as distinguished, as the track featured Queen’s Brian May, Floyd’s David Gilmour, Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Deep Purple’s Richie Blackmore and Rush’s Alex Lifeson. This collab definitely goes down in rock ‘n’ roll history.

The traditional garments of the Chin, along with the motifs of the Southern Chin Bird and the Mountain Lily Flower, are among the most treasured cultural symbols of the Chin ethnic group.
The Southern Chin Bird Dance is one of the most celebrated cultural heritages of the Chin people from Chin State in western Myanmar. This dance expresses the Chin community’s admiration for the beauty of nature and their gratitude and respect for all living creatures.
Chin traditional garments are known for their vibrant colours, unique patterns, and handwoven designs featuring geometric shapes and floral motifs in red, green, white, and other colours set against deep black fabric.
Distinctive accessories—brightly coloured headbands, broad waist belts, handcrafted bangles, bead necklaces, and earrings—are not only beautiful but also reflect a high level of craftsmanship.
Many Chin outfits also incorporate handwoven representations of the Southern Chin Bird. These woven motifs showcase the Chin people’s deep connection with nature and their appreciation for the beauty found in the environment around them.
Although the outfit may appear simple to the viewer, it was created with great care to preserve cultural authenticity and avoid inaccuracies. It was thoughtfully designed with the guidance of knowledgeable cultural experts, ensuring that the essence of Chin heritage remains intact while adapting it to a modern artistic presentation.
This elegant and refined Chin traditional costume, styled with accessories crafted from gold, silver, brass, beads, shells, and other traditional materials, was designed with a red-and-black colour concept. It is proudly presented as the National Costume for Miss International Myanmar 2025.
