I just watched this movie again.
Well worth a a look if you haven't seen it🍿
Overview:
With the war in Iraq raging on, a young man (Jonah Hill) offers his childhood friend a chance to make big bucks by becoming an international arms dealer.
Together, they exploit a government initiative that allows businesses to bid on U.S. military contracts. Starting small allows the duo to rake in money and live the high life.
They soon find themselves in over their heads after landing a $300 million deal to supply Afghan forces, a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people.
The War Dogs (2016) soundtrack perfectly complements the film's chaotic, arms-dealing storyline with a mix of gritty hip-hop, classic rock, and electronic tracks. It features iconic hits from artists like The Who, Leonard Cohen, and Pink Floyd, along with a score by composer Cliff Martinez.

Labyrinth is a 1986 musical fantasy film directed by Jim Henson with George Lucas as executive producer.
Based on conceptual designs by Brian Froud, the film was written by Terry Jones, and many of its characters are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
The film stars Jennifer Connelly as 16-year-old Sarah and David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King.
In Labyrinth, Sarah embarks on a quest to reach the center of an enormous, otherworldly maze to rescue her infant half-brother Toby, whom she wished away to Jareth.

Medusa is a mythological figure from Greek mythology who turned anyone she looked at to stone and whose head was covered with terrifying, venomous snakes instead of hair.
The only one who managed to kill her was Perseus, son of Zeus. He is known to have killed her with arrows given to him by Hermes and a mirror given to her by Athena. However, Perseus, looking into Medusa's cursed eyes in the mirror, managed to kill her by cutting off her snake-covered head.
The drops of poisonous blood that flowed from her neck mixed with the earth and sea, transforming into terrifying snakes.
According to another version, the poisonous snakes emerging from Medusa's head are actually a curse from Athena, the goddess of war. Medusa was a young girl who enchanted everyone around her with her beauty, and her golden hair impressed Poseidon.
Athena caught Medusa and Poseidon together in her temple and, in response to his anger, transformed Medusa's hair into poisonous snakes.
The goddess's curse is written as "Whoever looks into her eyes will be turned to stone."

🎬 Today is the 39th anniversary of the war movie, Full Metal Jacket!
It was released in theaters on June 26, 1987 & starred Matthew Modine, Vincent D'Onofrio, R. Lee Ermey, Arliss Howard, & Adam Baldwin.
It was directed by Stanley Kubrick & it is based on the 1979 novel, The Short-Timers by Gustav Hasford.
It was nominated for 1 Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay & nominated for 1 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for R. Lee Ermey.
It's also listed on the American Film Institute's 100 Years, 100 Thrills list at #95.

Virgil Exner’s last show car for Chrysler was this 1961 Chrysler TurboFlite Concept by Ghia. 
The radical two-door coupé with a retractable flight cockpit-style roof canopy featured a prominent winged spoiler high over the rear deck.
This design and aerodynamic feature would later be used successfully by the 1969-1970 Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Road Runner Superbird in NASCAR competition.
Displayed during the 1962 Chicago Auto Show, the TurboFlite concept was powered by a third generation turbine engine.
The entire canopy would lift up and down in sync with the doors' opening and closing.
The headlights were retractable.
A unique, deceleration flap was mounted horizontally between the soaring tailfins.
This was another collaborate effort between Ghia of Italy and Chrysler’s engineers.

Connected to the volcanic island of Ischia by a narrow stone bridge, Castello Aragonese rises from its own tiny islet in the Bay of Naples in a cascade of ruins, churches, and fortifications spanning over 2,500 years of history.
At its peak in the 16th century, over 1,800 families lived within its walls — an entire city on a rock, complete with convents, palaces, and an infamous cemetery where Ischia's Poor Clares nuns were seated around the decomposing bodies of their dead sisters to contemplate mortality.
The poet Vittoria Colonna held her celebrated Renaissance literary salon here, and Michelangelo sailed across the bay regularly to attend.

This week in 1984, the Van Halen single “Panama” debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at #52 (June 23)
The song from their smash hit LP “1984” was reportedly written about a car that Roth saw race in Las Vegas; its name was "Panama Express", hence the title of the song.
Diamond Dave wrote the song after being accused by a reporter of "singing about only women, partying, and fast cars".
Realizing he had never actually written a song about fast cars, he decided to write one!
Eddie Van Halen said the song was musically inspired by AC/DC's straightforward three chord rock style.
It went to #13 in the US, #15 in Canada, #30 in Ireland, #61 in the UK, and #74 in Australia.

The Stadio dei Marmi, Rome
One of the most astonishing sculpture ensembles of the modern era is the marble army that surrounds the Stadio dei Marmi.
Created between 1928 and 1932 as part of the Foro Mussolini (today the Foro Italico), the stadium was conceived during Italy's Fascist period as a celebration of athletic excellence, physical strength, and the ideals of classical antiquity.
Encircling the stadium are sixty monumental Carrara marble athletes, each donated by a different Italian province.
The sculptors looked back to Polykleitos, Lysippos, and the Roman ideal of the perfected human form, creating figures whose powerful anatomy, calm expressions, and monumental scale recall the masterpieces that inspired generations of travelers on the Grand Tour.
Whatever one's view of the political regime that commissioned them, the sculptures themselves remain an extraordinary achievement.
