Here's the RQ1
It's a Jaguar-powered special built by Robert Quelch over a 10 year period from December 1964 to 1974.
He designed and made the whole car from the ground up.
The wheels and even the steering wheel were made by him.
The gullwing doors are hydraulically operated.
The car is 40" high, the same height as the Ford GT40.
Visibility is poor due to the height of the XK engine.

🚨 The AI boom is hungry for power, and the United States is feeding the beast!
Did you know the U.S. is currently using nearly 40% of the world's data center electricity? ⚡
According to the latest data from the Energy Institute’s Statistical Review of World Energy, U.S. data centers consumed a staggering 312.6 terawatt-hours (TWh) last year. To put that massive number into perspective, that’s enough energy to power 29 million average U.S. households for an entire year! 🏠💡
🌍 The Global Divide
The concentration of global tech power is undeniable. The U.S. and China alone account for nearly two-thirds of the world's data center energy consumption. Here is how the global breakdown stacks up:
🇺🇸 United States: 39.7% (312.6 TWh)
🇨🇳 China: 26.1% (205.7 TWh) — The U.S. uses about 52% more!
🇪🇺 Europe: 18.4% (144.6 TWh)
🌏 Asia Pacific (excl. China): 63.2 TWh
🌍 Middle East & Africa: 29.9 TWh
🌎 South & Central America: 25.6 TWh
🧠 The Catalyst: The AI Infrastructure Race
Why the sudden and massive surge? It all comes down to Artificial Intelligence.
Between 2022 and 2025, major U.S. tech giants ramped up their spending on AI infrastructure by a mind-blowing 175%, skyrocketing from $162 billion to $448 billion. This money is pouring into colossal data centers packed with servers that run and train AI systems 24/7. These facilities demand an unrelenting supply of electricity for computing, intensive liquid and air cooling, backup power, and heavy networking. 💻❄️
⚠️ A Looming Bottleneck
The sheer scale of this growth is putting immense pressure on the U.S. power grid. In 2025, data centers accounted for 6.6% of total U.S. electricity generation.
The gap between supply and demand is widening rapidly:
📈 Total U.S. Electricity Production Growth (2020-2025): +11.3%
🚀 U.S. Data Center Electricity Usage Growth (2020-2025): +80.9%
Energy experts are now sounding the alarm. The future of AI expansion might not be limited by coding or silicon chips, but by the physical capacity of our energy grid. If we want smarter AI, we are going to need a lot more power. 🔋🔌

More than a century after the last ships of polar explorers Sir Ernest Shackleton and Captain Robert Falcon Scott were lost at sea, the Heroic Age Expedition is bringing their stories back into the spotlight!
On July 2, R/V Atlantis departed Woods Hole carrying scientists, engineers, and technicians from WHOI and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society on a mission to document two historic shipwrecks.
40 years after its groundbreaking surveys of the Titanic, the nation's deepest-diving crewed submersible Alvin will once again descend into the North Atlantic, this time to study the wrecks of Shackleton’s Quest off Newfoundland and Labrador and Scott’s Terra Nova near Greenland.

Octopus, squid, and cuttlefish: these fascinating creatures are cephalopods, an order of marine mollusks.
They can regrow limbs, change shape, color, and texture in an instant, and even edit their own genetic information.
However, cephalopods often swim under the radar when it comes to their contributions to our ocean’s health. These critical links within and among marine food webs also help move and store carbon.
They keep ecosystems balanced and functional, strengthening the ocean’s resilience and ability to regulate our climate.

Cousteaucetus (Cousteaus Whale) is not a single species, but rather a famous assembled whale skeleton located in Antarctica.
It was pieced together by the renowned oceanographer Jacques Yves Cousteau and his team in 1972 as a memorial to protest 20th-century #whaling.
Location and Origins: Site: The skeleton is located on a moss-covered marine terrace near the Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station on King George Island in Admiralty Bay.
Composition: Cousteau's team used readily available, historical whalebones scattered in the area from nearby 20th-century whaling operations.
The monument primarily consists of bones from blue whales and humpback whales, including 43 vertebrae, 24 ribs, and a complete skull with mandibles.
Historical Purpose: It was erected to bring international awareness to the devastating impact of predatory whaling on whale populations.
Scientific and Environmental Significance: Nutrient Hotspot: Because of the skeleton's location, it has been the subject of long-term botanical and soil studies.
The bones leach #calcium as they dissolve, which acts as a nutrient source that has dramatically enhanced local soil fertility and changed plant communities in the harsh Antarctic environment.
Conservation Threats: Unfortunately, the monument faces threats from marine erosion, with rising sea levels and shifting coastlines gradually washing parts of the beach away, putting the skeleton and its surrounding moss carpets at risk.
