Here's my first attempt at propogating mushrooms. The jar is coffee grounds and a blue oyster I found and sliced in half. The bag is hopefully to spawn in. It is about 50/50 hardwood pellets and coffee grounds. Anyone see any flaws in this plan? image
Our neighbor invited is to harvest a but from their garden. We got some transparent apples, raspberries, dill and about 7 pounds of blueberries. image
I've got a few bigger bones that I rotate into each new #compost pile. I figure it is contributing calcium and any other minerals it contains. image
It is interesting turning #compost piles and seeing how the materials break down. Eventually you can't tell what was used to build it. It is also a good idea to calibrate thermometers every once in awhile. I prefer to use ice water to do it. The digital one wouldn't work in cold water though.
