Coming into the final week before term starts and I can attempt to question the indoctrination process, “it’s been a while since they let me loose on first years…..” (note, not in a creepy way). Walking into work and felt uneasy taking the photo, but made a statement about the UK, the traditions next to the reality of a country that is not working. The progressives may say the homeless need money, but the realists/bitcoiners will say we need to fix the money so they never get to this position in the first place. Heading out for my weekly “chat” before putting off prep for next week (I like the idea of just going a little rogue), then some paper reviewing. Not that exciting, but once work is done, kid to swimming and then I continue with the book!!! #coffeechain

GM Nostriches, yesterday was a very good day, time with my mother, talking my daughter back from the ledge while buying new school shoes, two very good meals out, cake baked (by daughter and mother) AND a bike ride. Maybe a high bar for today to live up to, but already dressed in my biking clothes, ready to get the kid out into what looks like a better weather than yesterday..... Really unsure how may mother deals with some of my opinions on the world, like me, she is very much what one would have called a liberal in the 90's, but while I appreciate how my views may have developed, I'm unsure how she connects with the group she used to view as her's. But on the plus side, when I present my views of what is happening in the US, IE, if you don't want to agitate some pretty wild ICE guys, probably better you stay at home, and definitely don't drive towards someone with a gun, she was still able to see the logic in the argument (the left is a long way from capturing her!) #coffeechain to start, then fix breakfast for ma and kid, then we bike........ oh fuck, I should have looked outside before getting ahead of myself......... hmmm, maybe it's a good time to work on the book!
