Ge nostriches, while the phantom menace is by far the worst of the first 6 Star Wars, it’s major issue was the trade federation being the bad guy but we never got to learn their motives, hmmm, unfair taxes, a lack of representation, they never cover it, they are only labelled as “greedy” Watching it now with the current trade federation (the US and their dollar) are now attempting to re exert their power, then are the oil producing nations (or indeed Iran as the black sheep of the Middle East) the early rebel forces, pushing to destabilise the entrenched powers with the aim of starting something new. Add in a droid army (drones) compared to the starships and clone (us army personnel or even NATO) and George Lucas could present himself as a prophet, predicting the future. Interestingly there are a good few people I could label as being members of the Sith, and even those that think they’re the Jedi, “there is no good or evil, only power, and those to weak to seek it”, problem is, everyone appears to be wanting the power, without the patience to develop the force!!!
