Haircut with the eldest, @Hector Alvero continuing to zap my barber he brought out my awesome cape and told him about why today was important!!!! Unsure they’ve quite got Bitcoin yet, but always happy for a double tip when we both of us visit. Love the thought of some absolutely OG out there, in his restomod Porsche, talking to his kids or grandkids, and saying, “yeah, all this wealth came from buying some guy on the internet 6 papa John’s pizzas” (because laszlo did it a few of times) although appears that address also did a fair bit of mining in the months after, oooo this mempool space history is good fun. 🫡🙌

Writing a book felt like something I had to do, given the idea that was burning in me after writing an academic paper. Now over 2 years on, getting a first edition out way way too quickly and it being a bit of mess, but the idea, the message, the plot (hat tip @lionelschriver ) were solid, in my view. Continued with the editing, but the more I reviewed and the more the world moved on, the more ideas that emerge, the clearer some of the problems I was grappling with became and the darker some discussions went. Currently attempting to get a revised first edition done, but the other sides of my life are seriously slowing progress. Hoping the summer will open a bit of time to get this done, then onto the 2nd edition to get both a more polished but hopefully also a more power message to slowly introduce someone you know to the problems all around them. Ngl @Peter McCormack , this is a tough listen and while a bit on the edge of what is acceptable to say, if I was married to Narinder, I’d definitely smoke!!! Great to attempt to push across the divide, but so many of her issues came up against a wall of not understanding the problem then talking over you. Targeting you as “the rich” was amusing. To be honest, couldn’t care less if Zack is a “nice guy”, anyone can say what you want to hear but if they don’t understand where the money comes from (as with most MPs) they need to stay away from politics and spending other people’s money.
