New Reason documentary about Prospera, a privately governed zone in Honduras, home to the Roatan Bitcoin Center, which aims to spread bitcoin across the entire island. Will it survive? Much depends on the action taken by Honduras’ new democratic socialist president, who calls its existence “criminal” and “a threat to our sovereignty.”

Not gonna lie, pretty depressing to see the ⚡️ gone from Damus, extremely disappointing move by Apple. Nonetheless, goes to demonstrate why such decentralization of all layers remains a crucial project. Much gratitude to builders like @jb55 for doing the work.
