Jesse Livermore (so stack sats and wait!) :
1. “Money is made by sitting, not trading.”
2. “It takes time to make money.”
3. “It was never my thinking that made the big money for me, it always was sitting.”
4. “Nobody can catch all the fluctuations.”
5. “The desire for constant action irrespective of underlying conditions is responsible for many losses in Wall Street even among the professionals, who feel that they must take home some money everyday, as though they were working for regular wages.”
6. “Buy right, sit tight.”
7. “Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.”
8. “Don’t give me timing, give me time.”
and finally, the most important thing:
9. “There is a time for all things, but I didn’t know it. And that is precisely what beats so many men in Wall Street who are very far from being in the main sucker class. There is the plain fool, who does the wrong thing at all times everywhere, but there is the Wall Street fool, who thinks he must trade all the time. Not many can always have adequate reasons for buying and selling stocks daily – or sufficient knowledge to make his play an intelligent play.

Merry Christmas!
Painting with the family….🧡

Day 66 no booze. Never thought I get here. Despite being a Bitcoiner and thinking I understood low time preference, the alcohol was definitely a weakness of wine.
Don’t plan to be cold turkey indefinitely, but enjoying the break and increased focus on health - family, relationships, weights, endurance, sleep, reading, chess, stacking
Rain, hills, nature, bliss. Felt guilty taking out my phone.

@Gigi sir, did you know that if you stack sats on Relai, the same address is used….in fairness, massive respect for Relai, but when I heard this, was a bit disappointed. Especially now that you are involved. Could HD not be used? Maybe something for you and the team to maybe consider?
Swim as far as you can in 24 hours. Great event. Shoulders killing me. My little one got a podium. Was thinking of David Goggins out there. When you think you’re done, you’re really only 40% done. Winner got through 60 km. what a legend. Enjoying an alcohol free beer. Next year I need to try to tie in Bitcoin.
Was trying to Orange Pill an acquaintance over dinner last night. Spoke hard money, gold, theft through inflation, monetary history and then Bitcoin. Became a struggle….wallets, cryptographic keys, hashes, meekly tress, nonces, immutability etc. ….I lost him. My fault. Shit.
However, this morning, sent him on “The Words We Use In Bitcoin” by @Gigi .
My acquaintance is back and asking more questions.
Good lesson for myself. Need better articulation for new comers. Focus more first on what’s wrong with current system and then how bitcoin fixes this.
Can’t believe I am onto Day 41 no booze. Must be 20+ years since I’ve done it. Not sure yet if I want to do this indefinitely, but for now, no end in sight. Happy to have fallen out of a bad habit.
Roll on tonight’s run.
