Grants come with strings attached and a whole lot of KYCing, so we'd rather rely on providing value for our community :)
Not all people are punctual, but you may not want to leave the room open once you start a class, a webinar, a talk... That's what lobbys are for.
Anyone who wants to join can still be let it whenever the host or moderators let them in :)
Sharing gossip is so much more fun live. You can even just create an ephemeral room and leave no trace :P
