Some may have noticed that I change my Nostr profile to my real name and face.
When I first signed up, I didn't know what to call myself so I just copied my old username and profile picture from Twitter. But after meeting Bitcoiners in real life, I decided I want to enter this space as myself.
I have a long-held fear of being seen and couldn't write from the heart without hiding behind an avatar. And to some degree, this made sense in a space where I am being censored and monitored.
I also know that what's important to me are people and community. The downstream consequences of life moving more and more online are so evident in society today and it's making us disconnected and isolated. That is not what social media should be for. I want to connect on a human level, even in my online interactions.
I thought I was just joining another social media platform. But instead I find myself being challenged to grow again. And I'm here for it ๐ฆ

I think I need to make it a goal to acquire more recordings of me singing or playing ๐ป. Considering I am performing in some capacity almost every week, there is very little material that exists ๐ค
Just accepted an invitation to do a guest performance as a singer at a festival in September ๐๐

I'm on a mission to orange-pill my husband. Currently, he thinks I'm in a cult.
I'm so hyped from meeting Bitcoiners in real life today that I'm not sure I can sleep.
Until today, Bitcoin was purely an online thing and Bitcoiners were Internet strangers.
It suddenly just got a lot more real.
Now how's this for a reading corner? Today I stopped by the @BTC HEL popup shop while my violin was under maintenance at the shop down the road, and passed some time there. I was given a little tour, picked up some stickers to spread the word, and was very impressed by this cute candy station run by two enterprising young girls. Thanks for having me! ๐

I'm starting to get a few followers here! Thank you everyone for being here and taking an interest in my little account ๐๐๐
Thunderstorm just passed and the sun is setting. GN ๐

It's been a good week for baking. Today, German-style plum cake made of a sweet yeast dough. Cinnamon adds a touch of spice. Crispy crumble on top adds texture ๐

We have these cool dragonflies zipping around our garden right now and it turns out they let you get pretty close
