Nostr has ruined all other social media for me but I keep hearing that it's dead? 👀

A question I find really interesting is where do interests come from? Why does one thing light up our brains, but another doesn't? Since he was tiny, my son has been really into cars and machines. That put an end to the blank slate theory for me. And he's also really into sea creatures, especially sharks and whales 🐋 (his favourite game right now is pretending to be a giant squid 🦑) But land animals are just "meh" to him. Anyway it's such a fun journey to support him in learning about his interests. I get to see the world through a whole new lens too 😊

4 years ago today I held this little one for the first time. Now my beautiful boy is 4 and I'm so proud of him. We are now squarely out of the baby and toddler years. He's growing up too fast 🥹 But every year with him is better than the last. Looking forward to what this year brings. Happy birthday 🎂 ❤️

Lots of birthdays in the family this weekend. My grandma is 90 today. My uncle is 64 tomorrow. And my son is 4 tomorrow. (Yes, I get to say I gave birth 60 years to the day after my grandma 😊) Here is a picture that surfaced recently of her in 1952 (age 16) as a cobweb in Sleeping Beauty. She's the one kneeling in white 🤍 Sad not to be celebrating with the rest of the family but I didn't want to drag my son on a plane on his birthday. Instead, we're having a kids' party at home today 🎂🎈
