There should be no discussion of covenants on Bitcoin without first studying the history of covenants on real estate.
Covenants encumber property, full stop.
The crux of the issue is a flaw with Bitcoin's code - which is technical - and this is causing a denial of service attack via fee market on pleb transactions.
Starting there first helped - that's how my brain broke it down.
