The greatest generational gift American boomers have given to the culture: their selfishness. They have raised a culture of individuals who are selfish in one way or another. The barriers to Bitcoin adoption are all self imposed. "It's too volatile" "The regulations are too much" "There's no where to spend it" These are all machinations of the fiat money bias.
