Ever been ping pinged around by government employees trying to find an answer?
Yeah, that's public choice theory working in full force against you. The root of libertarianism.

David Sacks comments on the All In podcast tell me that when the rubber meets the road - policy makers won't protect our freedom or liberty.
They will protect their careers, they will protect the existing system, and ultimately will be incapable of acting on getting rid of things like KYC and AML for law abiding citizens.
The incentive to run and maintain a node is this. When you come into Nostr after 20+ days of being offline, have a funny post, and aren't getting zaps - it's on you!

Store of value narrative is "how can we get bigger pools of capital to buy and HODL"
Medium of exchange narrative (my favorite) "how can I bring value to those who choose to participate in the Bitcoin network/circular economy"
Providing value to one or even a few on the network benefits all. E.g. my node might not be an economic node without participation and interaction with other individuals on the lightning network.
