Does Bitcoin "need" the money printer at this point in time? Like, if the money printer vanished, would the resulting economic tsunami affect a critical blow to the network?

So many ecological maladies are traced to engineered scarcity to keep the existing system churning.

David Sacks comments on the All In podcast tell me that when the rubber meets the road - policy makers won't protect our freedom or liberty. They will protect their careers, they will protect the existing system, and ultimately will be incapable of acting on getting rid of things like KYC and AML for law abiding citizens.
