The call of the red tail hawk is the most iconic, powerful, call of all raptor birds. In cinema, when the bald eagle is shown, often the call of the red tail hawk is spliced into the audio track because the bald eagle's call is nothing compared to the red tail hawk. Hollywood people are known to be into the occult and esoteric wisdom traditions, e.g. Madonna & Kabbalah, so we shouldn't be surprised when we see the red tail hawk making appearances in two major Hollywood productions on the subject of the 2007/2008 sub-prime mortgage bond bubble bursting. Esoterically, raptor birds warn or affirm. Obviously, for those reading the tea leaves correctly 20 years ago, affirmations of their intent to short the mortgage bond market were appropriate while, at the same exact time, everyone who wasn't paying attention needed a warning. Two functions; one call. This highlights the wisdom inherent to the Japanese word for 'crisis' which means "dangerous opportunity" or "dangerous pivotal point". Affirmation is appropriate for those who are reading the situation and responding to it well, and a warning is appropriate for everyone else. That's why the red tail hawk can be seen or heard in both The Big Short and Too Big to Fail. 🪶
