One of my favorite happenings is when you hear a song that that makes you understand or unlocks a musical genre in your brain that you formerly hated. For Metal, the song was Electric Eye by Judas Priest. For Country, it was Long Haired Redneck by David Allen Coe. For Jam Bands, it was a cover of Big River by Grateful Dead on their '72 Europe tour. After hearing those songs, it completelt broke the genres open for me. Have you had any experiences like this? If so, I'd be interested in the song and genre it was for you. Cheers!
