The rise of LLM based systems that show remarkable and improving reasoning traits prompts one not only to ask what knowledge is, but also what knowledge is for. Could knowledge be completely outsourced to external systems? Would we be able to have new ideas? Would insight play a role in anything? Without knowing anything deeply, how can anything at all be appreciated? How can a truly novel idea come about? Moreover, is knowledge only useful when necessary?
