One thing I really love about this town is the abundance of publically accessible fruit trees. Taste testing, be another month at least before these are ripe, they were the biggest apples out of the 3 trees on this street, and they're a green variety, I think one of the others on this street is a pink lady from memory. My favourite ones are from one particular tree one the edge of town. There's a grove of them that are grown from seed, the story goes some guy would eat an apple on his way to work every day and that was the spot he threw the cores. They are very similar to a red gala apple, the other trees in the grove are ok, but that one tree has the best apples I've ever eaten I've been meaning to take cuttings from it.

What a stressful meeting We cut the board members pay in half. Well I actually abstained from the vote. I kinda feel like i should have said something because I believe one of the board members didn't deserve the pay cut.

At the Local Aboriginal Land Council end of year meeting. I am by far the whitest person here, as usually. Also, they have $200K in unpaid rents and utilities owed to them. One guy won't stop asking questions, meeting is already an hour into overtime.
