Some stupid moron sprayed all the roadside blackberry bushes after the fruit was already set. This poisons wildlife that eats the blackberries. Also blackberry seeds are mostly sterile, but the stress of herbicide makes them produce fertile seeds. Which then gets spread by birds. The poison at best only stunts the growth for that year, usually have new leaves a few weeks after being poisoned. Poison increasing fertility means that herbicide resistance is very common. If you spray before flowers develop in spring it will prevent fruit, but it won't actually kill the plants. Goats and fire is more effective than poison, still takes years to actually remove them. If digging them out every single piece of root and every cane must be removed or they just form new plants Luckily for me i have access to blackberries far from the roadside where stupid people can't access and poison them. Most of these kids with ADHD being given ritalin from a young age are having their lives ruined for no good reason. The tree is mature and it's normal for the deadwood inside to rot out, only issue is when the rot is only at the bottom of the tree and they become top heavy, some lower branches were pruned years ago against my advice, I used to be able to walked from the ground up into the canopy, but someone wanted to make it "tree shaped" based on retarded shit they were taught about trees.
