There's some different projects in development that bridge meshcore/meshtastic with Nostr but they're not ready /require advanced knowledge to run, like how do I explain to my boomer neighbour no you gotta download this computer terminal app and type in this code to install the actual app? The more advanced bridges require every user to own and run a specific version of Linux on their computer to run the app on their phones. Bluetooth mesh apps like #Bitchat are simple to use but completely useless here as we don't live pressed up against each other in houses made from cardboard. Also could never figure out how to put my nsec into Bitchat to use it as a nostr client despite that being it's only selling point. There's another mesh app that uses nostr to broadcast between Bluetooth meshes that seems a lot better but I stopped reading after seeing it was Bluetooth and wifi only and I forgot what it's called now anyway. So I'm definitely learning more into reticulum after doing more research. I'll test these apps on my other phone some time.

Australian police are confiscating and crushing bicycles, not just electric ones. New laws against bicycles were announced as a response to the "fuel crisis" If you are caught doing over 25km/h (people can run faster than this) your bike gets confiscated and crushed then sent to landfill and you get a $300 fine. Caught not wearing a helmet, $600 fine + bike gets confiscated and destroyed If it's an ebike it automatically gets confiscated and crushed for no reason. In Qld Australia they have the toughest laws against not only ebikes, but regular pedal powered bicycles as well. With new speed limits for non motorised bicycles being set at 25km/h on roads and dedicated bike paths and 15km/h on shared pedestrian paths. With $330 fines for any bike that exceeds the speed limits (ebikes also get confiscated and destroyed on top of the fine) Absolutely insane, they're announcing these tougher laws against bicycles during a "fuel crisis" They're also pushing for all bicycles to be registered and all riders to have a driver's licence (specifically a car licence as opposed to a motorcycle licence or creating a new type of licence) What absolute retardation. Watch NSW state gov respond by making even tougher laws, than Victoria will follow with tougher laws again, then Qld and the cycle repeats, all 3 just trying to prove who can be the worst and get away with fucking us over the most.

After more research I'm leaning towards #meshtastic I want to build a local lora mesh network and bridge it to #Nostr. So people in my local community without a lora device can use Nostr to send messages over the local mesh and vice versa. Meshtastic already has something for connecting to internet and I found something else called #noshtastic which could be the answer. #asknostr can anyone point me in the direction of more information so I can better understand what I'm trying to do and how to go about doing it.
