I may have stumbled upon the most inefficient way to code that exists. I manually input the code that googles AI mode produces into the terminal, bit by bit. But, I've gotten way more done this way then prompting AI to code for me, and the code is far more efficient, replit would make 10 pages of code to do what copy pasting 10 lines of code from Google does. I think the coding agents are intentionally inefficient in order to waste your tokens making shit bloated with unnecessary crap that breaks other things But replit can write those 10 pages in 30 seconds while it takes me a minute to copy and paste the 10 lines from Google. By the end of this I might also have a better understanding of what I'm doing.

Remember everyone, when something like what happened with coldcard happens, all the opportunistic grifters come out with new scams to take advantage of YOUR PANIC AND CONFUSION. View quoted note →

Today I set up a nostr relay, no, it isn't working yet. It isn't attached to a domain name and doesn't have a web socket certificate. I'm still waiting for the payment to process for the domain before I can finish setting it up. This is far more complicated than anyone let's on. Nothing works, umbrel removed support for Ubuntu so doing everything through the terminal. All the information I can find is outdated, instead of forums with working code to copy and paste I'm relying on AI to generate the code, because google deindexed all those useful forums to force us to this stupid AI. Also how the fuck am I meant to remember 5 new passwords and an SSH key? 5 new passwords for my google account to remember and if I loss rhe SSH key I guess I'm fucked. Now I understand why people don't run relays.

Just look at the advice Odell has been giving people in response to this as well, telling them to move their sats to exchanges even if they used something else to generate their seed phrase... All the grifters coming out and exposing themselves. View quoted note →

#idea for #nostr paid relay. I pay for write access, those closest in my web of trust also get write access. #asknostr why doesn't this exist already? Limit it to whatever you think is a reasonable number of mutuals, whichever mutuals have the highest volume of interaction with the person paying at the time they pay. image

#idea for #nostr Create a relay that publishes one note per day per npub, npubs must be under 6 months old. All notes get pruned 6 weeks after publishing. (These time periods obviously up to whoever decides to use the idea) Automatically find and add the new npubs to the relay. Prune any bots or spammers(npubs with extreme high valume notes and replies) automatically. Prune npubs with multiple reports from unrelated wot clusters automatically. (Or figure out a fairer way that's harder to exploit that doesn't create an opening for spammers) The point; a relay for finding new npubs to interact with. I think minimum age 3 days is probably enough, 2 weeks might be better. That would give a chance for spammers to expose themselves and get automatically blacklisted before they get picked up and put on the relay. Nothing stored permanently, if your budget doesn't cut it 6 months could be 6 weeks etc. Someone could make this happen, whether or not it's a useful idea, I don't know. Just an idea

Was in the checkout line at the local independently owned grocery store. Person in front of me was talking to the cashier about how she boycotts Coles now that they use palantir to monitor their customers. Eventually she pulled out her phone and played the church scene from kingsman, saying this is what they're going to do. Palentir are monitoring our brainwaves to perfect the use of frequencies to trigger violent psychotic episodes and make us kill each other.
