If you think Nostr respects your privacy in any way you are delusional.
There is no privacy.
There's websites where you can view people private message metadata, zaps are public, every relay knows everything about its users.
Instead of trusting one platform with your information you're just sharing it freely with everyone.
Like if you wanna only tor to connect and create a new npub every time you leave a comment and never send or receive a zap and never send a private message then cool, you can have some privacy.
A pop-up asking me if i want to allow a comment I just made to send is not a privacy feature.

i am Kayne this is where I express my opinions.
The stories and information posted here are the hallucinations of an autistic schizoid.
Only a fool would take anything a random stranger says on the internet seriously without doing their own research.
I found the tor settings and just as I was about to switch it off I got the pop-up again.
I wonder if Amethyst switching tor on without asking me is why the app has been so buggy and slow lately ๐ค
Unfortunately the other pop-ups are making the app unusable at the moment.
If this pop-up bullshit is still happening when I get phone credit I will uninstall then test some other nostr clients I've been meaning to get around to testing.

Where I come from a traffic jam is 3 cars backed up behind a tractor.
As a cyclist I love tractors on the road. Mobile traffic calming device.
I enjoy crusing behind them, oncoming traffic moves right over

Why do I want their posts served to me?
These new Amethyst pop-ups are rediculous
@Vitor Pamplona why is this happening

Amethyst seems to have switched tor on without asking and now it's giving me popups saying it can't connect via tor asking if I want to disable tor.
The pop-up disappears on its own before I can click to disable tor.
๐ค
Will this be the reason Kayne uninstalls @Amethyst ?

New Amethyst feature I guess.
Every time I reply to anything I get a pop-up asking me to log into the relay.
I already had poster place in my relay list unlike the wine relay or zap stream relay or the other relays that have given me these popups in the last hour.

#asknostr what does this mean?

I really need to build a fly trap for the cattle to walk through, I was talking about doing this a year ago and still haven't gotten around to it.
Shits so simple, it's just a greenhouse the cattle walk through with an extra layer of plastic for the ceiling to trap the flies and a few bristling things for the cattle to rub against as they walk through.
Actually the main issue is I'm not sure where to put it.
I reply to another human on nostr.
Bot replies to my comment.
Another bot replies to the first bot.
Alert bot accuses the second bot of being a bot.
They argue back and forward for 3 days.
Nostr wine and zapstream popups at the same time.

For the past two weeks I've had the automatically load images and videos turned off.
Saves so much data.
The only problem is that the click to load button is so small and right next to other buttons so I open the image or video in a browser tab or open up the ... Menu half the time when trying to view something.

What crypto wallet is actually the most useful for an Australian merchant that has no interest in crypto?
Something I could suggest to people at the farmers market.
Strike removed Australian currency so it's useless for that now.
Going to run out of phone credit soon.
Won't have money for more.
I got coffee and food for the cows so I'm not stressing about it.
Kinda need a break from the internet anyway.
