Unless you can find a specialty product that is hand-made… Use organic soap if your hair is actually dirty, or once weekly to clean it, and then use a raw egg on your scalp (whip first then massage into scalp and leave for 5-10 min before rinsing) twice per week to restore nutrients… just try it, it works great! Deodorant - buy a salt crystal and use it after showering… it’s a natural way to reduce odor and if you eat clean food, you will not smell bad! One of these lasts over 10 years Dish soap - Buy Dr. Bronners pure Castile soap and dilute 1:10 into a foaming bottle… best hand washed dishes ever Cleaner - for floors and countertops mix hot water, lemon 🍋 & white vinegar… you can drop some essential oils in also if you like Laundry detergent - find a natural detergent to buy… I use a coconut based product… very important to find something natural for this! I don’t use Dr. Bronners soap for this because it’s expensive and hard to find where I live, but if you can buy it in large quantities it’s 100% worth it and even more economical than regular detergent! Lotion - use cuts from an Aloe Vera plant if your skin is dry, or find an organic lotion that has no fragrances in it Bug spray - use an essential oil mix and cover up Toothpaste - choose a non-fluoride option! Of all the places I have traveled, one place that inspired and awed me was the Temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia… When I visited, it was early morning… there was a fine mist in the air, hanging mystery and magic heavily over the ruins like a garment perfectly suited for its wearer… I walked around in stunned silence, taking in the incredible talent, skill, and artistry that these incredible humans invested into building this wonder… Around mid-day, I took a break under a tree to watch a local man sketch in his notepad… we didn’t speak each other’s language, but we had a fun little sign & body language exchange where we both communicated what a beautiful day it was and how incredible the temple looked in the morning I mimed wanting to see his sketches, and he showed me some of his drawings… He was talented, sketching with a fine-tip basic black pen and nothing else… I mimed my admiration for his drawings, and he didn’t even hesitate to choose the one I had stopped a bit longer to admire, and offered it to me… I tried to give him some money in exchange, but he refused… so I went and bought us lunch, and brought it back so we could eat together… We mimed about our families and lives for a while, eating our food, and when I finally stood and shook his hand to say goodbye, he made me wait, and took out another drawing and gave it to me… I knew he didn’t want me to offer him money again… this was a gift, and doing so would ruin the brief friendship we had just formed… I can still recall that moment with crystal clear perfection… the feeling of the heat and humidity, the warmth on my left shoulder where the sun had broken through the canopy… I can still see his wide, crooked smile, weathered skin, green gym shorts and faded tan threadbare shirt… I was honored and humbled by the gift I saved those drawings for the past 15 years, tucked away in storage while I continued to travel and work all over the world… and recently, finally, I had them framed… After over 20 years of traveling, I finally have a home base, and look forward to seeing this art every day… reminding me of the beauty in the world and the kindness of strangers #nostr #introductions #artstr #art #drawing #cambodia #angkorwat #travel #adventure #plebchain #bitcoin #hodl #coffeechain #goodmorning #GM #writing #story #kindness #beauty #friendship
