I don’t think we hit $1,000,000 this cycle. And I do think we have another 60-80% pullback into 2026.
HOWEVER, hard money (gold) went from $1 million in Weimar marks to $1 trillion in Weimar marks in the blink of an eye.
I know that was one country and I know they were under extreme circumstances, but I would also say the entire world being on a fiat standard the last 53 years and mortgages being given out 95% LTV and banks having 0% reserve requirements and the United States’ only export is dollars printed out of thin air are extreme circumstances.
Both situations are Cantillionaire Ponzi schemes. The latter is just bigger and more sophisticated.
This is not my base case, but the chances of these both ending in a similar fashion are not zero.
