We’re back from the clinic. Unfortunately, the prognosis for my wirehaired friend is not good 😔 It seems he has an autoimmune disease that is typical for his breed and very difficult to treat. The next one or two weeks will show whether he can still make it or whether we will have to let him go. And even though it’s secondary right now, the costs of a stay at a veterinary clinic are insane. If I want to continue giving my animals good care, it would be nice if #Bitcoin started performing better again 🤍

The nightmare became real (English below 👇🏻) Heute musste ich das erleben, was für jeden Bitcoiner eines der schlimmsten Szenarien ist. Ich habe ein Backup meiner Seedphrase bei einer Vertrauensperson. Darüber lässt sich streiten, ja. Aber ich hatte mich aus guten Gründen dafür entschieden. Dort wurde heute ins Haus eingebrochen. Unter anderem wurde dabei auch meine Seedphrase gestohlen. Durch das schnelle Reagieren meiner Vertrauensperson, die mich sofort anrief, konnten wir auf die Wallet zugreifen, bevor es jemand anderes tat und meine Satoshis retten. Der Schreck sitzt tief. Und es stellen sich mir erneut viele Fragen, was die Sicherheit angeht. Today I experienced what is probably one of the worst-case scenarios for any Bitcoiner. I had a backup of my seed phrase stored with someone I trust. People can debate whether that’s wise, yes. But I had my reasons for choosing that setup. Today, their house was broken into. Among the things stolen was my seed phrase. Thanks to the quick reaction of my trusted person, who called me immediately, we were able to access the wallet before anyone else did and save my sats.
