For the past four years, I’ve spent one special mother-daughter day with each of my daughters during the summer holidays. They get to choose what we do, and for that day, they have my full attention. This tradition began because my older daughters often had to make compromises in everyday life when something simply wasn’t possible with their younger brother. Sometimes they understood, and sometimes they were understandably frustrated. I felt sorry for that. So I suggested setting aside one day each year that would be entirely about them. They love it, and by now it’s become a tradition we wouldn’t want to miss 🤍 #kidstr #mumlife

Kennt ihr Jakobs-Greiskraut (auch Jakobs-Kreuzkraut) genannt? Für Pferde und Kühe ist es giftig. Es reichert sich in der Leber an und kann auch Jahre später tödlich sein. During a rare dinner for just the two of us today, my husband and I talked about success and happiness. The two often have very little to do with each other, and not all that rarely, life asks you to choose between them. We both agreed that, for us, happiness matters more than success. My husband started listing the things that make him happy, and suddenly I found myself in tears.
