Reassembling the Social: An Introduction to Actor-Network Theory
by Bruno Latour
It’s a book that explains the approach of Actor–Network Theory. Its core argument is that “the social” is not a pre-existing domain but is constantly assembled and reassembled through connections between heterogeneous actors. Both human and non-human.
I will ground my thesis in this theoretical approach so I took around 40 pages of notes while reading and I know I’ll return to this book again and again over the next two years.
Continuing my mission to read every book by Bruno Latour.

My great great grandmother lost her husband in World War I. Men were scarce because of the war so when a man came to the village and was auctioned, she bought him as a husband for 100 bucks. She was a girlboss. She had cows and made and sold butter so she gave the highest bid.
And it’s the first time I’m hearing this absolutely wild story.
