Staying with the Trouble: Making Kin in the Chthulucene by Donna J. Haraway This was an interesting book. It quotes some of my favorite authors: Anna Tsing, Bruno Latour and Ursula K. Le Guin. One of Haraway’s most famous slogans is explained in detail in this book: “Make kin, not babies.” This basically means that we should create kin beyond biological reproduction. We are not separate from the non-human things we live with. We should expand our relationships and obligations to non-human beings, not only to our bloodline. She rejects the Anthropocene and suggests the term Chthulucene. We should not separate ourselves from other beings. We are intertwined with everything and we must live, think, and create together. Becoming-with together. #vezirereads

I finished Mad Men for the third time. It’s a masterclass in storytelling and character building. Flawless.

I love Utopian Scholastic of early 2000s. Eyewitness books, colorful encyclopedias, learning softwares. It was optimistic. Learning was fun.

Combined though a series of transformations. Always in motion, fixed points are only for convenience of expression. Ultimately, impossible to discern at the level of the universal.

Life is actually not that bad when you get eight hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep.
