Tonight, #Netflix said I'd enjoy Inside Job. Curious, I watched the trailer, and pressed play. It's about the global financial meltdown that took place in Fall 2008. And it presents the elements that led to the collapse. Plus, it identifies keys financial and political players. As usual, it's revolting seeing central bankers, bankers, and politicians collude. Everyone getting bailed out, with no responsibility whatsoever. And then the people pay the price. As a bitcoiner, I know most of it, but it doesn't make it easier to swallow. Until the end, I was waiting for #Bitcoin to be mentioned. But it didn't happen. Then, I checked the year it was released: 2010. No wonder. What would be interesting is an update of this documentary, with what we bow know about Bitcoin. It would give it a much more hopeful ending. And let people know that they now have a way to make banks and governements pay for their mistakes. Fuck them all. I'm going to reach 2 weeks without checking Twitter! Not even lurking. Sometimes, I feel like I miss some of the news, and I'm very close to hitting that X icon. But I haven't. I feel more relaxed here. Because I'm not fed notes from the algorithm - just seeing the notes of the people I follow, and the notes they feel are valuable to share. Also, the notes aren't created to make me angry, or to invite negative feedback. They're not click-baity. And there's no FUCKING ads!!! So, I like this Nostr experience. I've been trying to add a private home relay to #amethyst but it's removed every time I close the app. It's the relay from my Start9 node, with the local extension for when I'm home. Am I doing something wrong? #AskNostr

First time I do an update on my @Start9 for the new @mempool version. Very smooth! Not sure it's the hardware, or the OS, but I'm very happy with my new node.

Yesterday, I watched God Bless Bitcoin in the living room. My 8-year old managed to watch about 5 minutes and gave up. My wife was in the same room, but busy, and didn't pay attention for about half the movie. Then she said: are you trying to brain wash me? She ended up on the couch, and started commented on every interviewee like: So, it wasn't a real success... While I enjoyed the spiritual comments, I don't think Bitcoin should be a religion. There are always gate keepers in a religion. And interpretations can lead to horrible takes, even pure evil. At some points, it really felt Bitcoin was a cult. It's not. It's just open money for the world. Next step, I'd like my parents to watch it. But I'm not sure this will resonate with them, for reasons mentioned above. I can't send them the link, or they'll ignore it, or simply forget. So, I'll have a watch party when they visit. #bitcoin #godblessbitcoin
