I think the best approach is to have a critical mind towards whatever is being presented to you, read up of what fascinates you, especially things that are taboo (flat earth, world wars, who controls the money, what aren't you allowed to question, etc) and try to debunk the conspiracies surrounding them while following your intuition on what brings you further to the truth. However, it's important to learn to keep your energy to yourself by not getting emotionally involved. Not in a nihilistic or autist way. Observe, don't judge.
No matter if you're looking at it from a spiritual, materialist/physics/rationality or simulation perspective: It's obvious they're investing a lot of time and money in what you get to see to manipulate your emotions and instill fear and uncertainty. It's the same with lots of alt media on all sides. Few take the time to actually collect and study all available information, do research and share results without trying to get you into a certain emotional stage.
Every emotion is a flow of energy. If they can create negative energy within millions or billions of people at will, they'll remain at the helm. Don't let them - by learning to breathe through fear. Meditate, do yoga/stretches. A few minutes per day. This will help clear your mind of the constant attention grabbing nonsense being pushed everywhere. Some cardio is helpful as well. No need to overdo it. You'll notice wanting to do more if you're ready for it. That'll prepare you mentally and physically to be more mindful about what you direct your energy at.
Just something I had to learn and could've grasped a lot sooner if I hadn't been stuck with what I assumed to be the way the world works.

As someone who spent way too much time trusting these people, I can confirm this based on experience. All the talk of inclusion and diversity is a manipulative play for influence and control. They will prey on your good faith.

A few days ago someone built an IRC-compatible nostr-based chat server. I wanted to check it out but forgot about it. Now I have some time to play around with new stuff and I’d love to give it a try. Does anyone remember what it was called?

There's this german vegan recipe influencer who barely ever says anything even remotely controversial who seems to always have a smile on her face and yet her comments are full of people telling her how unhealthy she looks and that she should go see a doctor.
Some people should just shut the 🦆up more often and worry about their own shit.
Also, a doctor? What are these ignorant fucks who still jab at least a dozen people or so per day going to do? Tell her to eat organic grassfed meat, use tallow and kick out the seed oils? Yeah, sure.
If it doesn't sound at least a bit schizo it's probably not true.
Guess this is what happens if you do test-driven development, have the tests just check for a certain value and developers don't actually use their own app.

We cancelled our rental contract and have to be out by end of November. She hasn’t yet signed her new rental contract and instead spends a lot of time on researching which couch she’s going to buy for her new place. And she’s definitely not shallow when it comes to these things, making me feel like there’s something else stopping her from really moving on. She hasn’t yet packed a single box of her stuff.
I’ll be moving out in about 3 weeks and she’ll be all alone in a 120sqm flat with no one to say hi to her when she’s back from work and no cats to take care of after having spent the last 6 years of our lives under these conditions. And she geniunely loves these critters. She’s also prone to SAD during autum/winter months.
She doesn’t seem to realize that I’ll be living in a different state soon and that some tasks regarding the old flat will have to be taken care of by her when I’m no longer here because I can only come over during weekends. In exchange I’ve been taking care of clearing out our stuff, welcoming potential new renters who want to inspect the flat, organizing the final cleanup and handover of the old flat, taking things to the trash, clearing out the cellar, cancelling constracts and basically everything else that needs to happen when moving to a home.
The last times I even mentioned her rental contract she was evasive and it seemed like she felt as if I was pointing out failures of her which just increased the pressure she was already under, which was never my intention.
I’m genuinely worried about her and it seems there’s no way around having a talk with her about all this later today. One of the reasons we didn’t work out was that we had different approaches to handling emotional conflicts so this is likely to cause some issues.
I know she’ll be able to handle all this but it’ll be unnecessarily stressful for the both of us. I’d hate if we went our seperate ways in anger and frustration.

I don’t get it man. You’re a bicycle culture website. Why not collect money for kids who can’t afford bicycles or young people to open their own bicycle shops or literally anything else that’s likely to have a local impact that’s cycling related?

You can actually see when they started spraying the skies again today.
