Why aren't there lighning apps in the US that connect directly to your LND lightning node..3rd party apps like @Alby and @ZEUS force you to open expensive channels with them. Hooking up a self-custody wallet to zap with is the bane of my life..the way things work, everyday finance people will never use this cumbersome tech..only we do bc were super intrested..let's build this out!

I been doing the IBD for 4 days now for Knots. I had trouble blithely switching from Core. Doing an IBD..at 75.2% and im at block 814,500.. so 25% of the Bitcoin blockchin is in the last 85,000 blocks. Fucking runes, ordinals, BRC-20 and all that other spam-garbage fuckery!!! Where are we gonna be in the next 100,000 blocks pertaining to hardware requirements to run a node..smh..shame these fuckers!

If we all set our nodes to "don't relay transactions containing arbitrary data." Won't that effectively eliminate these inscription transactions?

It's a sad realization that bitcoin adoption at scale will never see the masses take self-custody. Are we destined to send/recieve lightning payments on strike and cash app? No body is gonna link their @ZEUS mobile wallet to their umbrel node over Tor, if it's unreliable and clunky. Is bitcoin destined to be a payment network or just a SOV. I know many believe it CANT be a sov without being a m.o.e. I dunno. I'm happy with bitcoin as is. Just as a Sov, it would be best if cap gains were removed. What's David sacks waiting for there? Or whoever makes that decision.
