Why aren't there lighning apps in the US that connect directly to your LND lightning node..3rd party apps like @Alby and @ZEUS force you to open expensive channels with them. Hooking up a self-custody wallet to zap with is the bane of my life..the way things work, everyday finance people will never use this cumbersome tech..only we do bc were super intrested..let's build this out!

I been doing the IBD for 4 days now for Knots. I had trouble blithely switching from Core. Oh well, this is now the first time I have synced the blockchain post inscription and urinal crap..it makes the chain so bloated and slow. Please bitcoin is money, Bitcoin is FOR money. Doing an IBD..at 75.2% and im at block 814,500.. so 25% of the Bitcoin blockchin is in the last 85,000 blocks. Fucking runes, ordinals, BRC-20 and all that other spam-garbage fuckery!!! Where are we gonna be in the next 100,000 blocks pertaining to hardware requirements to run a node..smh..shame these fuckers!

Where could I secure a small amount of capital? I want to build a full home server flashed with ur choice of umbrel or start9. SD card, 2tb ssd drive rasberry pi, case & fan. For less than you can find online anywhere else. Prob. 400$

do you guys see the chance of a 2017 style fork of bitcoin due to this debate about bitcoin core op_return limit? Im worried that Bitcoin is going to be ruined by human greed. It's why we live in a fiat world in the first place. Human Greed ruins everything on a long enough time line.. even bitcoin, I fear. Greed is what started the FED. Read Creature from Jekyll Island. yea bitcoin is secured by math.. but consensus is controlled by humans. It's code thats written.

Im curious how non technical people choose to run a node..umbrel or start 9? Something like that?
