“If you were told that you were going to be given half an hour’s interview with God, and you had the privilege of asking one question, I wonder what you would ask.”

Neel Kashkari: “There is an infinite amount of cash at the Federal Reserve"
The cash:

“We don’t like, nowadays, anyone to suggest that our social institutions are not altogether serious. We can’t stand it because we are much too insecure. And this is a very dangerous state of affairs. And so it is really high time that, in many ways, the institution of the fool was reintroduced.”

Your based core dev, sir.

Which Bitcoiner are you?

There is a reason how money works isn’t taught in schools.
And it isn’t by accident.

If you don’t hold the keys to your Bitcoin, it’s not your Bitcoin.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Ray Dalio used to think the Yuan would displace the dollar as the global reserve currency. Now he seems to think gold will.
What he continues to miss is that you cannot send gold over the internet. You can only send gold IOUs. And the only reason gold IOUs worked for as long as they did since Bretton Woods is we were living in a unipolar world.
The USA was so dominant post WWII that the rest of the world was willing to accept the dollar as the singular gold IOU system. Those days have passed.
We are now living in a digital, multipolar world. Thus, trustless digital gold is needed. Who would trust China, or the US, or any other single country to manage a new gold IOU system?
Trying to go back to the gold standard again and again expecting different results than what got us to the fiat problems we face today is insanity.
Don’t trust. Verify.

“There is a sort of question in your mind, not so much a question as a questioning. A feeling of, it’s all unbelievable. It’s amazing. I wonder at it. I marvel at it. It is a miracle that there is anything. But it’s like a friend of mine who went to a Zen master, got an interview after he was in trouble, an interpreter, and he sat down and said, you know, now I’m here, I don’t know what to ask. I just feel like laughing. And the Zen master said, well let’s laugh. But that feeling, you see, of the the marvelousness of being, is what I call, or would want to mean by Tillich’s phrase ultimate concern.”

It’s not easy being a Bitcoiner. But it’s much harder not being a Bitcoiner.
