GM. I am not sure the world yet realizes how important @PABLOF7z ‘s Wikifreedia is. Setting aside the blatant leftist bias of Wikipedia - there are also government actors around the world trying to manipulate historical records. This has happened for all of human history and will continue to happen. The ability for multiple wiki entries on the same topic + WOT + censorship resistance is INCREDIBLY important for humanity. Hopefully this recent SS hack will finally show Americans that companies and governments are lousy at keeping our data safe. We have normalized giving up WAY too much of our data/personal information at every step of the road. KYC ends up hurting far more people than it helps. We must go back to privacy by default- as we did for all of human history. You cannot punish millions of innocent people to hypothetically catch a bunch of bad guys.

Every single search engine absolutely sucks. Borderline unusable. Impossible to research anything from “obscure” resources. Google, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Bing. None of them return the results I want. (Normally just a bunch of NPC news results and other “trusted” sources). AI is decent for search, but you can’t trust the info it feeds since it was trained using the same garbage. Using commands and deep search terms helps, but still very difficult to find what you want. Is the internet just cooked at this point? Dead Internet Theory? We all need to make the (very difficult) mental shift to a post-truth world ASAP. I still find myself taking photos and videos I see online at face value even though I know AI has advanced to the point where it is indistinguishable from reality. Moving forward we must assume everything we see online is fake (until cryptography can solve for this). This is not easy and will take a conscious effort until the habit is formed.
