@ODELL @MartyBent Regarding the snippet on detained Koreans by ICE, I wanted to clarify some points because I work in the semi-industry, and my company is Korean. All the detained Koreans were legal non-aliens who were here to train local employees. In fact, Korea is an expert in the semiconductor industry (with companies like Samsung and SK Hynix), and it regularly sends personnel to train US engineers and repair semiconductor manufacturing tools. It’s no wonder the US later signed agreements with Korea; otherwise, Koreans would have been reluctant to send their employees, which would have had a cascading effect.

My final thoughts on the core vs. knots debate are as follows: The core side is right: there is no way to stop additional data on the chain. But as Szabo mentioned, without spam filters, node runners are not protected, which I think has implications for decentralization. So, personally, my recommendation is to NOT run core v30.
