This may seem like a trivial matter, but if the people at Nostr took themselves less seriously, cared less about politics and "resistance against governments and censorship," Nostr would be more resilient and uncensurable against governments, and much more threatening than it is now. Many developers focus on creating new clients for established Nostr users, who in turn ask for more clients with the same purpose and more features for ever greater privacy, less metadata, etc., etc., etc.
Yes, I don't see a future in which Nostr is not a protocol used by large companies, just as I don't see Bitcoin not being used by many at some point in history. It will happen. It's not so critical that if people here do anything differently, the protocol will end. It won't end, but the point is that this way, don't expect rapid or significant growth. New users will arrive, stay for a while, and leave. It may even decrease the overall number of users for a while.
I saw a user commenting that Nostr's greatest quality and problem is decentralisation, as there are too many clients, but no, this is NOT a quality that has turned into something bad, it is the lack of content outside the niche of Libertarianism, Bitcoin and politics in general, and the usability and interface of the clients themselves; few are simple enough for anyone unfamiliar with the protocol to use and venture into.
Whether someone prefers an interface more like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp, in the end, everyone is on the same network chatting. It's a positive revolution, and it's the BIGGEST ADVANTAGE Nostr has over Big Tech. the fact that if someone manages to create a client, even if it's niche, that's good, and brings more people to Nostr, the "competitors" don't need to worry, EVERYONE WINS, something that doesn't happen with big companies. It's perfect game theory.
Are there minor exceptions? Yes. As I said in another post, Nostr is an open protocol and essentially has no privacy. Each client will offer its NIPs and features, whether they are shared among everyone or exclusive, but overall, everyone wins with the arrival of new users, and this is a snowball effect that will not stop.
Everyone has some interest or topic they like best that isn't explored here, and that's fine, since if the majority seems to want to discuss only politics, it doesn't make sense to insert topics that are too far removed from that. But whenever you can, mix it up, both in discussions, posts, and even feature requests for Nostr client developers.

@Markus Novik @ØF eu troquei de celular aquela conta e tudo que estava no meu WN sumiu. Ainda ficou algo?
Não sei como funciona a restrição de apps na China, mas fico impressionado com a quantidade de chineses que existem aqui.
