It’s quite funny to see my list of followers. I see a lot of heavyweight #nostr influencer account. It’s a good thing I was here early when there was nobody else to follow because my content definitely doesn’t merit this type of crowd!

Why are people outraged by @primal building their own closed ecosystem? It’s just part of reality and it is normal. Projects always start for the people. They start open source, often free, full of features. They later start expanding, need funding, start charging. They later come out with their own branding, expands more and start restricting their ecosystem. In the end, everyone is here to make a living. Examples: @Alby @primal @Damus @Umbrel ☂️ They all started as projects and became bigger with paid service. They will eventually focus all their attention on their paid service because it’s their bread and butter. If you are emotionally affected by this tendency, do like me and self hoste with FOSS

@Umbrel ☂️ really got me annoyed yesterday. It seems that in order to install it on a VM (Proxmox) you need to : 1- create a VM with a specific BIOS and no mounted boot drive 2- download the USB-Installer.iso 3- create a virtual CD with the ISO 4- mount it on the VM 5- proceed with installation 6- unmount Virtual CD before reboot Now the fun starts 🙄😒….. The /etc/fstab setting are too low for the mounting time limit so obviously root account gets locked. The solution is to simply edit the fstab file BEFORE rebooting the server the very first time you log in or else you will be locked out. By default @Umbrel ☂️ should put the mounting time to infinite. Now the Blockchain is syncing. So far so good.

Good afternoon y’all! Did a bit of exercise last night!

So I went to have supper at my sibling’s house last night. My family and I didn’t place much words in the whole evening. I had a discussion with my wife about humbleness. We don’t brag, we listen, we ask questions. We however expects to be asked questions as well because it’s a fundamental structure for a conversation. Things gets weird when we are not asked questions and people just talk about their kids, family, job, etc. We notice that with friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, etc. Is humbleness a sign of weakness in today’s society? Are we now born with bragging rights? #asknostr
