Brilliant explanation of #Marxism. Very relevant to understand the playbook as it is applicable to so many things. 1. History is defined by the struggle between an oppressor group and an oppressed group (worker vs capitalist, black vs white, religion A vs religion B, climate victims vs climate sinners, Main Street vs Wall Street etc). 2. There is an elite among the oppressed who understands what’s going on and they have the right and duty to lead the oppressed to overthrow the system for the greater good. 3. This elite centralizes power around themselves. 4. Kill everybody who disagrees. 5. Utopia. Every movement can fall into this dynamic as it is the logic consequence of the human desire for power. Even worse, if the wheels are in motion it feeds on itself as it draws in the worst characters that continue to escalate. I came to understand that two character traits define being #German: 1. „Being right is more important than being alive.“ If the world ends tomorrow for something the Germans warned you about they will happily perish while waving their finger reminding you that they told you so. 2. „The perfect machine must exist and Germans will build it.“ If everybody is just sufficiently aligned and in unity, a machine or bureaucracy can be built that doesn’t require further inputs and can run everything automatically for the greater good.
