Let me make sure I understand the plan: 1. Capture as much of the western hemisphere as you can to secure low cost industrial inputs to keep inflation under control. 2. Pump money into mortgage backed securities, ban institutions from SFH, 50 year mortgages and deport the bottom end of the rental market to take pressure off low income housing. 3. Tie the tariff policy to stimmie checks to bring the bottom tax bracket on sides against the courts if necessary. 4. Capture all the Bitcoin you can along the way It’s not a bad plan but I also can’t say I approve of it either.

I have to take a stupid government required online training every three years to keep up with one of the regulations imposed on my business. It requires I spend 14 hours in the program and they log you out for inactivity. The actual content takes a couple of hours at most but you can’t take the test until you’ve done the time. Which means sitting here clicking “still active” and clicking around on irrelevant information for 2 days. I am not ok.

I think Venezuela and Greenland are tacit admissions that we can’t win a war against Russia and China. We still have the ability to project power in our own degraded hemisphere. Canada, Columbia, Cuba and Mexico are on notice. I doubt we pick a fight with Brazil but we will try to box them in. The flow of technology and engineers back from Taiwan and Korea into the US suggests to me that we are planning to let China have Asia while we rebuild their industrial capacity as quick as we can in the US. Retrenching is not something you do when you are winning. This is castling our king and preparing to mount a strong regional defense.

When you see what the US government is willing to do to countries who don’t have central banks, it really makes you wonder what they will do to people who adopt a technology that makes central banks irrelevant. It’s almost like that one sentence in The Mandibles about Bitcoin could be right.

Here’s what I know so far: -Communism is bad -Narcoterrorism is bad -Undeclared foreign wars are bad -Stealing the resource wealth of other people is bad -Inflating my money to pay for wars I don’t have a say in is bad. The Venezuelan people deserve life, liberty and property the same as everyone else. I am praying that this event is a limited operation and that it moves them closer to those natural rights. I am not delusional enough to believe there are good guys and bad guys at the level of global politics. Everyone at that level has taken a deal with the devil to get there and the devil gets his due.
