My mother is close to 80. Out of the blue she said to me recently “maybe I should put my savings in #Bitcoin” ? I’m waiting on @strike to come to Europe because I don’t trust her to do self custody and I don’t want to carry that responsibility for her. She is (for her age) quite up to date. She used her iPhone and iPad daily and even knows how to use a password manager. But still, she’s close to 80 so I want things to be zero hassle for her.

#asknostr #nostr I want to use fewer relay because I think some of the bugs I see (specifically I can follow but not unfollow people) are caused by too many relays and some not supporting all NIP’s maybe? So how can I see which relays are the best for me to follow? Like a top 5, but based on which ones my peers post to (I don’t care about relay “size” and I don’t mind paying). I just want to know which ones I need to connect to at the least ?

What is #blastr ? If I understand correctly, it’s a way you spread your notes to many relays (even the ones your client doesn’t connect to) to make your notes censorship resistant. Also, this is annoying as heck for all these relays. So this method will kill itself if it becomes too popular. 🤔

Maybe a Wikileaks moment for Nostr will have to come first. When all the worlds media are referring to #nostr, that will grab attention.
